How an affiliate link works

  1. You click a product link in a guide

    The link takes you to the product’s page on Amazon. It carries a code that tells Amazon the visit came from Gladewick.

  2. You decide whether to buy

    You’re under no obligation. Many readers use our links just to check specs, prices and reviews.

  3. Amazon pays us a small share

How we choose the products we mention

A product earns a place in a Gladewick guide because it fits the specific problem the guide covers. When we compare products, we look at:

  • Whether it’s made for the job: the right surface, pest, room size or level of damage.
  • What’s on the label, including EPA registration for disinfectants and pesticides where it applies.
  • Manufacturer specifications and instructions.
  • Patterns in verified-buyer feedback, especially repeated complaints.

Unless a guide says otherwise, our team has not personally tested the products we mention. We say so because you deserve to know what a recommendation is based on. When a product does not suit a situation, or when the right answer is a professional rather than a product, our guides say that, even though it earns us nothing.
